Information We Collect

The contact form asks for your name, your firm or agency, your work email, your phone number, the type of matter, and whatever you choose to write in the message box. Those fields are the only information I ask you for. This site does not run analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, records standard server information such as IP addresses in the course of delivering it and protecting it from abuse. The site also loads its typefaces from Google, so Google receives the IP address of anyone who visits.

How Information Is Used

What you send through the form goes to my email inbox. I use it to work out whether I can help with your matter, to run a conflicts check against work I have already taken on, and to reply to you. That is the whole list. You will not be added to a mailing list and I do not send marketing.

Information Sharing

I do not sell your information and I do not hand it to anyone for their own purposes. Two narrow exceptions apply. The companies that carry my email and host this site necessarily handle the data while they deliver those services. And if a court order or the law requires disclosure, I will comply.

Data Retention and Security

An enquiry that becomes an engagement is kept as part of the case file, for as long as the matter and my professional obligations require. An enquiry that goes nowhere I delete once it is clear there is nothing further to discuss. The site runs over an encrypted connection, and email sits behind the security controls of the provider. No system is airtight. Please do not treat a web form as a secure channel for anything sensitive.

Your Choices

You can ask what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Write to either address on this site and say what you would like done. If deleting something would conflict with an obligation I have in an open matter, I will tell you that directly rather than let the request sit.
